Accademia Italiana, Language and Culture Centre (Salerno), in cooperation with the Province of Salerno and under the auspices of the European Commission, presents:

National and International Institutions will take part to this event: - Ministry of Foreigner Affairs, - Ministry of Education, - Research and University, - Council of Ministers - Department of Economic Development and Tourism. - University for Foreigners of Siena, - European University Centre of Cultural Heritage.
In videoconference from Slovenia the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI) and the European Commission (Bruxelles) will also take part.
At its second edition, the European day of Languages in Salerno is a great event of a cultural and educational importance which aims to raise awareness to the issue of multilinguism in a European multi-ethnic context.
The program is divided into 2 phases: CONFERENCE and WORKSHOP.
The Conference takes place at the Palace of the Province of Salerno and the Workshop takes place at the Accademia Italiana, via Roma 39, where seminars and classes will be held in 9 different languages at the same time. The main target for this event are: school directors, language teachers, students of high schools, and universities, adults interested in foreign languages.
A PROJECT WORK entitled “Knowing Europe through Multilinguism” will be drawn up by students from the Liceo Scientifico Leonardo Da Vinci (Italy)
The Event will end in the afternoon at Accademia Italiana, with a special COMPETITIONamong students and the award of the best project work. To the winners will be awarded n. 18 scholarships in total valid for n. 10 Language Courses at Accademia Italiana and n. 8 for 2-week Language Courses abroad: Ireland, Malta, Russia, Mexico and Costa Rica, to attend in 2011.
